YoderpianistI play the notes as they are written (or to be sure, I try) but it is God who makes the music. And even better: it is God who can make music out of our chaotic lives.

    Hmmmm....

People probably wonder whether Mr. Darin has either been wiped off the face of this earth or is so distracted that he never remembers to post.

Well, the later might well be true. But I have resurrected for at least one more time to share a few pictures of my past weekend with you.

I'm at SMBI now for two terms and I turned a normally 5 and half hour trip into a 18 hour trip by going to spend the weekend with Shirleen before I came to SMBI. Some people might would call that bad route planning, but I tend to think of it as one of the best things I have ever done! However, I might well be biased....

    Wow

A wonderful, godly, beautiful girl has agreed to a special friendship with me!

    Yes, me of all people.

God is amazing. I have never been led so directly as I have in this whole process. Wow!

I'm sure that you're wondering some details like name, phone number, and address....

I will divulge the first, but none of the rest (those are for me to know!): her name is Shirleen Mullet - she was at SMBI when I was there.

Your prayers are appreciated as Shirleen and I start this new and exciting step in life.

Warning: Actual post, not some lousy excuse for keeping what few poor patient souls who actually read this thing.

I always wondered what it was that the Woman at the Well found in Jesus. No, I didn't totally wonder, but I never "knew it" beyond knowing it in my head.

    I know now!

I have first hand experience. I know my Jesus and he satisfies me.

I don't know what exactly made it click, other than God pushing me step by step toward it, but I do know that I have a relationship with Jesus now that I've never come close to having before.

I love knowledge and I love to think and figure things out. It seems that my relationship with God was build more on that than on actual relationship with Him. It wasn't until God started taking situations completely out of my hands that I started seeing how much God loves me and that he wants relationship with me. It
seems that God is solidifying all that knowledge I have and that "head to heart" conversion is finally happening. God "takes a risk" when he puts us in situations completely out of our control, but he does that because he loves us and wants us to choose him and understand that he is in control.

Now I know what communion with God is. Now I know what a real relationship with Jesus is. Now I know what it is like to speak to God and have him speak to me.

Let me tell you friends, you may be scared of giving your life completely over to God, but do it; it's worth every bit. God doesn't just put you out on your own and expect you to do what he asks of you without giving any help. No! God is there giving you every bit of strength you possess and tons more besides.

Think a dedicated Christian life is boring? Think again. God will give you every bit of excitement that you can handle. And probably a bit more for good measure!
